THE KILLERS - SAM'S TOWN
FRONT PANEL:

The Killers logo is the biggest and most iconic feature of the digipaks front panel. It is placed over the majority of the viewer's line of vision. The album name 'Sam's Town' looks a bit out of place in the serif font, and the bright colour red, connoting danger therefore showing the link to the bands violent name. The setting looks like a run down trailer/caravan giving a country and gypsy theme, by the use of the goat and explicit clothing the girl is wearing. The front cover suits the band very well, as the Killers are typically known for creating connotations of violence through their indie-rock music.
DISK:

The disk of the digipak, is simple yet impactful showing only an image of goats head with the horns perfectly fitting the round edges of the disk. They also continue synergy throughout the digipak due to the black and white colours used throughout the album, as well as using the image of the goat again. The choice of image is abstract which is conventional for an indie band to do.
BACK PANEL:

The back panel features an image of the band again in the black and white colour scheme showing continuity throughout the digipak, and also highlights the importance of the band, making up for them not being on the front cover. Their facial expressions are quite relaxed yet serious while their poses remain dominant. The bands indie-rock image is further enforced due to their rugged and dark coloured costumes, the colour red can be seen again when reading the track listings again connoting violence and danger as seen on the front cover. Copyright, Institutional information and the barcode are separated from the rest of the back cover showing the importance of the band.
