TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB - TOURIST HISTORY

FRONT PANEL:

The front cover of the digipak is conventional for the indie genre as they haven't used an image of themselves on the front. instead they have used an image of a cat which has no relevance to the album/band, adding to the quirky vibe the digipak gives. It also shows that the band don't take themselves too seriously giving a care-free image. The bands name is largely placed over the line of vision in a bold sans serif font. The white font allows the bands name to stand out against the dark background image grabbing the viewers attention.

INSIDE PANEL:

For the inside of the digipak the image of the cat is used again, but this time without any text placed over it. The cat is wearing a crown showing the band's humorous side, the cats eyes have been edited, to make it look like they are sparkling. This creates continuity within the digipak as the audience's attention is drawn to the cats eyes. The image of the cat is also enforced due to the dark lighting surrounding the cat putting full focus on the cat.

DISK:

For the disk, the image of the cat is used again to enforce the continuity within the digipak, however this time it is just an image of the cats eyes. The bands name and album name is then placed where the nose of the cat would have been, allowing us to focus on the bands name as our eye is drawn to it. The eyes of the cat and the typography are in a navy blue colour against the metallic disk, this can again create synergy within the panels as the dark colours from the cat image can be seen on the cd.

BACK PANEL:

The back cover does not consist of an image which the other three panels have but they still create continuity through the use of navy blue text. The ivory/dirty white as the background colour, this makes the song titles stand out against the plain background. There is continuity within the text due to the circles used as letters and numbers shown within the song title as well as being seen on the front cover.
